BoviBerry is a one-person design studio, not a company with a data department. This policy covers the boviberry.com website and the design services offered through it. The short version: information is only collected when you choose to send it, it is used to do the work you asked for, it is never sold, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
What is collected
Nothing is collected simply by visiting the site. Information is only received when you actively submit one of the forms below.

Optional means optional. Fields marked optional can be left blank and your request will still be accepted. Only your name, email, and a description of what you need are genuinely required.
Why it's collected
Every piece of information above exists for one of three reasons:
- To reply to you. Your email and phone number are how a quote reaches you.
- To do the work. Your brief, references, mood board, and colour choices are the raw material for your project.
- To run the studio. Knowing which services people ask for, and how they found the site, helps decide what to offer and where to spend time.
Your information is never sold, rented, or traded, and it is never used to advertise to you.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe, an independent payment company. When you buy something, you leave this site and complete the payment on Stripe's own secure checkout page.
Card details never touch this website. BoviBerry does not see, receive, or store your card number, expiry date, or security code at any point. Stripe handles all of it and is certified to the highest level of the payment card security standard.
What BoviBerry does receive from Stripe is a notification of the payment — typically your name, email address, what you bought, and the amount — so the order can be fulfilled. Stripe's own handling of your data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are stored in a private Google Sheet owned by BoviBerry, and a notification email is sent to the studio inbox. Both sit inside Google's infrastructure and are protected by Google's account security.
The website itself is hosted by Netlify, which serves the pages to your browser. Netlify keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, as part of normal web hosting operation.
Data may be stored on servers in the United States.
Who can see it
BoviBerry is a solo studio. In practice, the only person who reads your submission is the artist.
Three service providers process data on the studio's behalf, purely to make the site function:
- Google — stores form submissions and delivers notification emails
- Stripe — processes payments
- Netlify — hosts the website
None of them are given your data to use for their own marketing. Information would only ever be disclosed beyond this if legally required to.
How long it's kept
- Commission requests — kept while the project is active and for a period afterwards, so past work can be referenced and any dispute answered.
- Mood boards — kept for the duration of your project, then removed once the work is delivered.
- Waitlist entries — removed once you've been contacted, or on request.
- Reviews — published reviews stay on the site until you ask for removal. Reviews that are never approved are deleted.
- Payment records — retained by Stripe as long as required by financial and tax law.
Anything no longer needed is deleted. You can ask for your information to be removed sooner at any time.
Cookies & tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party tracking pixels. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and nothing following you to other websites.
Two small pieces of data are stored locally in your own browser, and never sent anywhere:
- Theme preference — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode
- Studio session — only on the private admin page, and only for the artist
You can clear both at any time through your browser settings, with no effect other than resetting your theme choice.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask BoviBerry to:
- Show you what information is held about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your information entirely
- Remove a review you previously left
- Stop contacting you
Email Boviberrystudios@gmail.com and it will be handled within 30 days, usually much sooner. No explanation is needed and no fee applies.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal basis for processing your information is either performing a contract you asked for, or a legitimate interest in running the studio. If you are in California, note that BoviBerry does not sell personal information, and never has.
Security
Practical measures in place:
- The entire site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection
- Payment details are handled exclusively by Stripe and never reach this site
- The studio management area is password protected, with authentication verified on the server rather than in your browser
- Accounts holding client information are protected by two-factor authentication
- Only the information genuinely needed to do the work is requested
No system is perfectly secure, and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise. If a breach ever occurred that affected your information, you would be told promptly and directly.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. Information is not knowingly collected from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, please get in touch and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. If a change meaningfully affects how your information is handled, anyone with an active project will be notified directly rather than expected to notice.
